My cat has been peeing in different places?

My cat is a 11 month old female. Yesterday, she started to dig and pee in the plants. So, we covered the soil on the plants with pebbles so she won't use the plants. Long distant relationships SUCK! I've had plenty of those. They hardly ever last. Even though you say you love him, you're still wasting your time on him.
