Information about Hindu nun's please?

among many questions i have on this topic i am particularly seeking an answer to this sole question, as that will determine fully if i do or do not qualify. my question is: can converts into Hinduism --particularly non-Indian women (such as I) eventually become ordained as a Hindu nun? i am quite curious about this since in Buddhism there have been many westerner's have become Bodhisattva's (monks & nuns in training) likewise, many westerner's such as Ajahn Brahm and Pema Chodron have been ordained as buddhist monks/nuns thus, i am wondering if this too is possible in Hinduism?
