Is injury date crucial on hospital report?

i got hurt at work so went to er after weekend off wasn't helping pain (neck & shoulder injury) i filed for work comp but is now being denied because hospital report says injury was 1 month ago but was said 1 week ago and had only worked for company for one month,,, is there any recourse for typo or mis-communication at hospital??
