What movie is this? I remember a baseball pitcher on a team with blue and white or gray...?

I remember a baseball player pitching and he (or someone) calls a time out ad someone goes to talk to him. He eventually tells the guy that came out that "he loves her." A Collective Soul song starts playing and then he runs off the field and gets in his car. Can anyone help me?
