If we Scots can bury our dead, console our grief, and move on;are we so wrong to show compion?

Watching TV interviews with relatives of those who were killed when the sabotaged airliner went down over Lockerbie, it is striking to note the difference in opinion and attitude from both sides of the Atlantic. The Scots display a generally grief stricken but stoic attitude and have no problem that the alleged perpetrator is allowed to live out his dying days at home in Libya. The Americans, on the other hand, are generally outraged and are baying for blood. The USA, although it is a multicultural nation, portrays itself as religious and predominantly Christian. Scotland, also a multicultural nation, is true to it's roots in the humanitarian enlightenment and makes no such claims. We show compion and the USA erupts into fury. Where is your allegiance, so called Christians of the USA? You embarr yourselves and everyone else by clinging to the outworn vengeful ways of the barbaric Jews circa 100bc. When oh when will the USA stop being so belligerent?
